Michael Deering

Michael Deering started their career as a Tax Director at RSM McGladrey in 1999 and held this position until 2011. In 2011, they joined Mowery & Schoenfeld as a Tax Partner and Director of Taxes. In 2012, they also became the chair of the Tax Executive Committee - Estate, Gift and Trust Taxation at the Illinois CPA Society, a role they held until 2014. In 2013, Deering joined the Chicago Estate Planning Council as a Member of the Board of Directors, a position they held until 2016. In 2017, Deering became a Partner at Mowery & Schoenfeld Wealth.

Michael Deering earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from Northern Illinois University from 1995 to 1999. Michael then pursued further education at DePaul Driehaus College of Business from 2005 to 2008, completing a Master of Science in Taxation.
