Kristian Melhuus

Kristian Melhuus is the current director at Mowi, a position they have held since 2020. Prior to this, they were a board member at DESS Aquaculture Shipping AS from January 2020 to February 2021, when the company was sold to Antin/Sølvtrans. From May 2019 to October 2021, they were a board member at Archer - the well company.

Melhuus has over 20 years of experience in the oil and shipping industries. Kristian began their career at Sandwater in 2000, where they worked for 10 years before moving to Axactor in 2010. In 2019, they joined DESS Aquaculture Shipping AS as a board member.

Melhuus is a skilled leader with a proven track record of success in the shipping and oil industries. Kristian is passionate about environmental sustainability and fish welfare, and is committed to delivering high-quality services and products to the aquaculture industry.

Kristian Melhuus first attended the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) where they obtained their Master of Science in Industrial Economics and Technology Management. Kristian then continued their education at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) where they studied finance and econometrics.
