Boris Chiou

Boris (Bo-Ruei) Chiou is a Senior Software Engineer at Mozilla since March 2014, focusing on the Animation module of the Gecko layout engine for the Firefox web browser. Previously, Boris worked as a Software Engineer on the Firefox OS platform from March 2014 to May 2015, implementing the Web Clipboard API. Before joining Mozilla, Boris was a Software Engineer at Garmin Ltd. from September 2011 to February 2014, specializing in navigation software for automobile infotainment systems with a focus on performance and stability in resource-constrained environments. Boris also has experience as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at National Taiwan University, where Boris maintained an English teaching website and assisted undergraduates in the Digital Signal Processing course. Boris holds an M.S. and a B.S. in Computer Science from National Taiwan University, with a minor in Economics.
