Joana Varon

Joana Varon is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in technology, human rights, and internet governance. Currently affiliated with the Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University and Mozilla, Joana has played a significant role as the Founder Directress of Coding Rights since 2015. Previous positions include Technology and Human Rights Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School's Carr Center for Human Rights Policy and various consulting roles with organizations such as Consumers International and Global Partners Digital. Joana's academic background includes a Master's degree in Law and Development from Fundação Getulio Vargas and a Bachelor's degree in Laws from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie, complemented by studies in International Relations at Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo.
