Lars Eggert is a Senior Principal Software Engineer at Mozilla since November 2023 and a member of the Scientific Advisory Board at the Max Planck Institute for Informatics. With extensive involvement in the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) from 2005 to March 2024, Lars served in various leadership roles including Chair of the Internet Engineering Steering Group (IESG) and Chair of the QUIC Working Group. Lars's previous experience includes a Distinguished Engineer role at NetApp and a Principal Scientist position at Nokia Research Center, where significant contributions were made towards internet technologies and R&D strategies. Lars holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Southern California and a B.E. equivalent degree from Technische Universität Darmstadt.
