Lindsay Blackwell

Lindsay Blackwell is an experienced professional in trust and safety operations, currently serving as the Trust & Safety Operations Lead at Mozilla since June 2023, where responsibilities include managing regulatory compliance projects and developing content moderation capabilities for a social media product. As a PhD candidate at the University of Michigan, Lindsay is completing research focused on improving online moderation tools through criminal justice theories. Previously, Lindsay held leadership roles in Trust & Safety at Yik Yak and Sidechat, and conducted user research at Twitter and Facebook, contributing to initiatives aimed at detecting and mitigating harmful online behavior. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Information Science from the University of Michigan and a BA in English and Linguistics, also from the University of Michigan.
