Neha Kochar

Neha Kochar is a highly experienced professional in engineering and cybersecurity, currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Mozilla since October 2018, where leadership includes overseeing cryptography, security, privacy, and networking components for Mozilla Firefox. Previously, Neha held various roles at F5 Networks from October 2012 to October 2018, focusing on secure private-key storage and key management for BIG-IP. Additional experience includes positions as a Senior Software Security Engineer and Security Engineer at Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), with responsibilities including FIPS 140-2 compliance assessments and cryptographic product testing. Neha began a career in research as a Graduate Assistant at Polytechnic Institute of New York University and has contributed to various projects, including the development of security algorithms and cooperative communication systems. Neha earned a Master’s degree in Computer Networking with a focus on Network Security from New York University and a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communications from Maharishi Dayanand University.
