Rocio O'Rourke

Rocio O'Rourke is the current Mozilla Festival Director, where they steward the festival's creative vision and engage in cross-sector collaborations to amplify digital rights and justice. They have extensive experience in public relations, marketing, and event strategy, having held significant roles at organizations such as Amnesty International and The Nature Conservancy. Rocio served as National Director of Events at Amnesty International from 2008 to 2014, designing and executing high-profile events that enhanced the organization's visibility. They were recognized for their achievements as Director of Events and Experiences at Climate Leadership Initiative from 2022 to 2025, creating impactful global events focused on climate solutions. Prior to that, they coordinated communications and media efforts for Pronatura México A.C. and directed outreach initiatives at HCREO, demonstrating a strong commitment to fostering community engagement and awareness.
