Sylvestre Ledru is an experienced engineering leader currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Mozilla since January 2014, overseeing a team of approximately 50 individuals focused on engineering effectiveness, fuzzing, compiler, and OS integration. In parallel to engineering responsibilities, Sylvestre is part of the European Leadership team and manages the French branch, handling various aspects including policy compliance, HR performance management, and financing. Previous roles include Senior Engineering Manager, where management of compiler, fuzzing tools teams, and release quality control for Firefox were key responsibilities, as well as involvement in the LLVM Foundation as a developer and significant contributions to Debian and Ubuntu projects. Sylvestre's educational background includes a DESS in Distributed Systems and a Maitrise in IT from French universities.
