Tekia Stokes

Tekia Stokes is an accomplished professional in human resources and organizational development, currently serving as the Senior Director of People & Culture at the Mozilla Foundation since May 2025. As the Principal Consultant at Stokes Advisors since 2019, Tekia specializes in helping mission-driven organizations establish equitable, people-centered systems. Previous roles include Vice President of People and Talent at DonorsChoose, where Tekia scaled the team to support a growing workforce, and Chief People Officer at The Hub Project, focusing on operational reforms and culture change initiatives. Additional experience includes positions at City Fund as Director of Talent & Equity and various roles at District of Columbia Public Schools and other organizations. Tekia holds a Master of Science in Human Resources Management from Trinity Washington University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Business Administration from Virginia State University.
