Wayne Mery is an experienced IT professional with a diverse background in community management and systems administration. Currently serving as the Community Manager for Thunderbird at Mozilla since March 2022, Wayne focuses on building and supporting the Thunderbird open source community. With a long tenure at Lehigh University since 1980, Wayne has held the position of Senior Analyst and Systems Administrator, notably installing the university's first online mainframe system and managing the IBM mainframe system from 1981 to 2001. Additionally, Wayne worked in application development at GUIDE from 1986 to 1996. Wayne earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Penn State University in 1980.
