Jack Freer

Lead Engineer at MPI Offshore

Jack Freer is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in the offshore wind industry, currently serving as Lead Installation Engineer at Van Oord since May 2014. In this role, Jack is currently leading the Transportation & Installation Unit for the Japan Round 1 offshore wind farms. Previously, Jack was the Lead Engineer for the St Brieuc Offshore Wind Farm in France, overseeing the Pin Pile and Jacket Installation campaigns. Earlier positions included responsibilities for engineering deliverables and structural design as an Engineer, and structural calculations as a Graduate Engineer with MPI Offshore. Additionally, Jack gained practical experience as a Materials and Construction Technician at Teesside University and as a Project Engineer during a placement at MWH UK, focusing on combined sewer outflows. Jack holds a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Civil Engineering from Teesside University.
