Britta Hallin is an experienced artist and yoga teacher with a diverse background in both visual and performance art, as well as wellness education. Since October 2015, Britta has been associated with A-Mill Artist Lofts and simultaneously serves as Co-Producer for the Buddha Lounge at Burning Man since August 2013. As a member of the "Intersections 2025" Greening and Public Realm Implementation Committee for the Minneapolis Downtown Council, Britta contributes to urban development initiatives. With a strong focus on yoga, Britta has taught at various locations, including Guru Crew, UnitedHealth Group, Bearpath Golf and Country Club, and Oak Ridge Country Club, where programming was developed and implemented. As the Founder and Director of Embodied Creative Practices since 2007, Britta integrates somatic embodiment in educational practices. Britta's extensive education includes multiple certifications in yoga and fine arts, culminating in a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Minneapolis College of Art and Design.

Founded in 1955, the mpls downtown council (mdc) is a membership-based entity that works to create an extraordinary downtown. mdc works in collaboration with approximately 440 current members, including businesses of all sizes. Our organization is built on leadership, collaboration, advocacy and innovation. mdc and its membership work toward achieving the goals of the Intersections: The Downtown 2025 Plan in hopes of building an even better downtown mpls for tomorrow. These goals include doubling downtown’s residential population, transforming Nicollet into a must-see destination, creating and sustaining a green infrastructure and showcasing the riverfront, leading the nation in transportation options, advocacy for building U.S. Bank Stadium, ending street homelessness and more.
