John Kruger

John Kruger is a seasoned social media professional and photographer with extensive experience across various roles and organizations. Currently serving as the Social Media Manager for the Minneapolis Downtown Council since October 2022, John oversees content strategy, audience development, and influencer marketing for several key initiatives in downtown Minneapolis. Prior to this role, John operated as a freelance photographer and social media storyteller from April 2014 to October 2022, providing services to local businesses and charities. John's experience includes managing marketing and social media strategies at Dakota Enterprises and Lumen Photography, as well as a role in social media and marketing at The Photo Booth. John's earlier career involved contributing as a marketing assistant at Ceres Environmental Services, chief photo editor for a university digital newspaper, and staff photographer for a yearbook. John holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a Marketing Management minor from the University of St. Thomas.
