Sarmad Afzal

Sarmad Afzal is a Data Scientist at Royal Cyber Inc. since June 2023, focusing on developing enterprise-scale GEN-AI solutions utilizing large language models and Azure data engineering tools. Responsibilities include creating end-to-end data pipelines, enhancing data retrieval accuracy from vector databases, and applying computer vision models for e-commerce applications. Additionally, Sarmad participates in delivering AI/ML technology demonstrations at marketing events across the US. Prior experience includes roles as a Data Science Intern at MPOWER Financing and Connect Communications, as well as a Senior Field Engineer at SLB. Sarmad holds a Master of Science in Applied Data Science from the University of Chicago, expected in December 2023, and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology.
