Michael Steer is a self-proclaimed Compliance Geek and Chief Mortgage Audit, Risk, and Compliance Superhero, currently serving as President and Founder of Mortgage Quality Management & Research and Subsequent QC, LLC. After completing a degree in Business with a focus on Marketing and Spanish at Trinity University, Michael spent time abroad in Spain and Costa Rica before starting a career in the mortgage industry with Bank of America. Since founding MQMR in 2011, Michael has dedicated efforts to bridging the gap between risk and compliance for mortgage bankers while cultivating an internal team committed to excellence.
