Kevin McCartney began their work experience in 1997 as a Financial Analyst at Mellon Mortgage, where they were responsible for secondary marketing reporting and analysis. Kevin then joined JPMorgan Chase in 1999 as a VP of MSR Valuation and Pricing. In 2005, McCartney moved to MetLife Bank, where they served as MSR Portfolio Valuation and Risk Management. Finally, in 2012, they joined Mr. Cooper as an Executive Principal Portfolio Investments.

Kevin McCartney completed their education at two different institutions. From 1985 to 1989, they attended Hardin-Simmons University where they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a focus on Finance. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued further education at the University of North Texas from 1994 to 1997. At the University of North Texas, they earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance.
