Matt Motal began their work experience in 2005 as a Flame Artist at Motion Theory and Mirada Studios. Matt then worked at 1.1 VFX as a Flame Artist and Shake Artist from 2006 to 2011. In 2013, they joined ArsenalCreative as a Flame Lead and Senior Flame Artist until 2020. From 2020 to 2021, they served as the Head of Commercial VFX L.A. at Harbor Picture Company. Currently, Matt is the Creative Director and Head of Commercial VFX at Mr. Wolf, starting in 2021.

Matt Motal completed their high school education at California High School in San Ramon, CA from 1996 to 2000. Following this, they pursued further education at UCLA from 2000 to 2005, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Design | Media Arts.

Mr. Wolf

Mr. Wolf provides finishing, color and visual effects for commercials, broadcast, streaming and feature films. From 2005-2011, Mr. Wolf was branded as 1.1 VFX and was the Flame effects and finishing arm of Motion Theory/Mirada, delivering amazing work such as Grammy Award-winning music videos (Weezer, Green Day, Black-Eyed Peas) and complex visuals for commercial spots such as the HP Hands campaign and IBM’s Centennial THINK Exhibit at the Lincoln Center in New York. Re-branding as Mr. Wolf, the company grew and expanded the scope of its services to include effects for television and film as well as commercials. Mr. Wolf continues to deliver high caliber work for shows such as "The Walking Dead", "Fear The Walking Dead" and "Charmed" as well as commercial client Epson and more. Mr. Wolf.
