Mario Alemi

Mario Alemi has a diverse work experience with a focus on data products and artificial intelligence. Mario is currently the Co-Founder of MrCall, a company that develops digital assistants for small enterprises. Mario was also a Co-Founder of Café 124, an Italian enterprise that produces high-quality coffee-based drinks.

In their previous roles, Mario served as the Chief Scientist at Get Jenny, where they worked on data product strategy and co-authored a conversational engine. Mario was also responsible for defining and implementing a domain-specific language for NLP functions and developing an algorithm for keyword extraction. At Your.MD, Mario held the position of Chief Data Officer and was responsible for AI development and data strategy. Mario played a significant role in developing an advanced AI-based symptom checker.

Mario Alemi's education history begins in 1991 when they started their Master's Degree in Physics at Università degli Studi di Milano. Mario completed this degree in 1996. Following that, in 1997, Mario embarked on a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) program also in Physics at the same institution, which they finished in 2000. Moving forward, Mario pursued a Postgraduate Degree in International Journalism at City, University of London from 2006 to 2007.

In addition to their formal education, Mario has obtained several certifications. In 2013, they received a certification in Data Science Essentials (DS-200) from Cloudera. In 2015, they earned a certificate for completing the course "A Brief History of Humankind" offered by Coursera Course Certificates. Mario obtained two more certifications from Coursera, namely "Functional Programming Principles in Scala" in 2017 and "Origins - Formation of the Universe, Solar System, Earth, and Life" in the same year, demonstrating their commitment to continuous learning and expanding their knowledge.
