Avery Abraham

Avery Abraham has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. They started their career as a Personal Assistant & Floater at Beckwith Residential Support Services in 2012 and worked there until 2016. They then worked as a Research Assistant at Brookfield Zoo, where they created databases and conducted statistical analysis. In 2016, Avery joined the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign as a Counseling Center Paraprofessional.

In 2017, Avery attended the Actualize Coding Bootcamp & Apprenticeship and became a Software Developer. During their time there, they built an application called ServiceSearch using Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, PostGres, and VueJS.

In 2018, Avery worked as a Full Stack Software Developer at BUCKIT, where they contributed to rebuilding the front and back end of the application and suggested improvements to its usage and design.

From 2016 to 2017, Avery was a Resident in Social Enterprise (RISE) Fellow at New Sector Alliance, where they studied business and social enterprise topics and served as the Recruitment & Program Coordinator for One Million Degrees.

Avery joined One Million Degrees in 2016 as a Program & Recruitment Coordinator, collaborating to achieve application goals and managing application data.

In 2019, Avery joined the Chicago Literacy Alliance as a Technology Coordinator and Salesforce Developer, where they administered and developed the Salesforce environment, implemented profiles, roles, security settings, and customizations. They also led process improvement activities and developed reports, dashboards, and workflows within Salesforce.

Avery's most recent position is as a Software Developer at mRelief, starting in 2021. The details of this role are not provided.
