Brett Scherer is a Principal Software Engineer at MRIGlobal since July 2019, focusing on the development of an Android GUI for the Sensor Suite Upgrade on military M1135 Stryker vehicles, which enhances situational awareness for vehicle operators in hazardous environments. With a rich background in software engineering, Brett has served as a Senior Software Engineer Contractor at both Cerner Corporation and the Department of Defense, leading teams to develop health information systems and enterprise software for the United States Marines, respectively. Previously, Brett held engineering roles at TouchNet Information Systems, Inc. and Cerner Corporation, contributing to point-of-sale systems and R&D projects. Since April 2013, Brett has been actively volunteering as a Big Brother for Kansas Big Brothers Big Sisters. Brett holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of Missouri-Columbia, earned in 2004.
