Kristopher Schumacher began their work experience in 2010 as an Engineering Director at MRIGlobal. In 2012, they also started working as an Adjunct Professor in the Physics Department at Rockhurst University. In 2014, they joined UMKC as a Graduate Adjunct Professor of Mechanical Engineering.

Kristopher Schumacher has an extensive educational background in Chemical Engineering. Kristopher began their academic journey at the Missouri University of Science and Technology, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Chemical Engineering in the years 1995-2000. After completing their undergraduate studies, Schumacher pursued further education at the University of Washington from 2000 to 2005. During this time, they obtained both a Master of Science (M.S.) and a Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering.

Following their studies at the University of Washington, Schumacher continued their academic career at The Johns Hopkins University from 2005 to 2008. During this period, they engaged in postdoctoral research in the field of Biomedical Engineering.
