Dr. Filiz Duda (née Afşar)

Dr. Filiz Duda (née Afşar) is an experienced professional in geoscience and digital media, currently serving as a planner for digital media at MRK Media AG since May 2021. Prior to this role, Dr. Duda worked at SPIE Deutschland & Zentraleuropa, focusing on geoinformatics and enhancing in-house software, and held a position as a visiting researcher at the University of California, Riverside, where GPS field campaigns and geospatial data analysis were conducted. Previous experience also includes consultancy at Kalkulo AS, where geoscience software testing and interdisciplinary presentations were undertaken, and research assistance at Georg-August-Universität Göttingen, where scientific project coordination and laboratory work were performed. Dr. Duda holds a PhD in Geoscience from The University of Göttingen and has earned both a Master’s and a Bachelor’s degree in Geoscience from the University of Bremen.
