Tammy Purvines

Tammy Purvines, RHIA, is an experienced professional in the field of health information management. Their work experience includes various roles and responsibilities in different companies.

Tammy started their career in 1995 at UHS as a Director of Health Information Management, where they worked until 1998. Tammy then joined Sunrise Hospital as the Director of Health Information Management from 1998 to 2000.

In 2000, Tammy joined Iron Mountain as an Account Manager, responsible for managing client accounts. Tammy worked there until 2004.

From 2005 to 2006, they worked as a Clinical Systems Analyst at Perot Systems Corporation, focusing on analyzing and improving clinical systems.

In 2006, Tammy joined Dignity Health as a Director of Health Information Management, and they held this position until 2014.

Tammy then joined Optum as the Service Area Director - Health Information Management, where they worked from 2014 to 2017. In 2017, they were promoted to Regional HIM Operations Director and worked in this role until 2020.

In 2021, Tammy worked at Banner Health as the Compliance Audit Program Director from March to October. Currently, they are serving as the Director of Account Management at MRO.

Throughout their career, Tammy Purvines has demonstrated expertise and leadership in health information management, compliance, and operations management.

Tammy Purvines, RHIA completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Health Information/Medical Records Administration/Administration from The Ohio State University between 1993 and 1995.
