Katja Pluto

Katja Pluto is an experienced professional in risk management and governance, currently serving as Chair of the Audit Committee and Member of the Audit Committee at the European Investment Bank since June 2021. Katja holds several non-executive board positions, including Director and Chair of the Risk Committee at MS Reinsurance, and Director at Sanitas Krankenversicherung and Axpo Group. Previous experience includes roles as Chief Risk Officer at Zurich Insurance and HSBC, and Deputy Head of International Capital Regulation at Deutsche Bundesbank. Academic qualifications include a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Board Effectiveness from the University of St.Gallen, an M.Phil. in Finance from the University of Cambridge, and a Master's degree equivalent in Mathematics and Economics from Friedrich Schiller University Jena.
