VP, Water Service Line Lead at MSA

Jason serves as vice president and Water service line lead for the firm. Based out of our Des Moines, Iowa, office, he manages civil, environmental and industrial engineering projects, with a skill set that includes evaluating wastewater treatment and collection systems, water treatment, storage and distribution systems and recreational facilities—as well as planning, design and construction estimating.

As clients know, Jason is has demonstrated consistent service in order to address their needs. He was the certifying engineer for both a whitewater recreational facility in Elkader, Iowa—an ACEC Engineering Excellence Award winner—as well as for South Park improvements in Story City, Iowa.

Jason has contributed his talents to the wastewater industry through a variety of wastewater treatment improvement projects and his Alternative Wastewater Treatment Design Guidance Manuals won an ACEC Grand Conceptor Engineering Excellence Award. He has completed the design and construction of improvements for more than 20 wastewater treatment plants, including the City of Cascade, Iowa. The Cascade facility is economical to operate, easily accommodates future growth within the community and addresses compliance issues that were prevalent within the previous system.

Coordinating with clients, funding agencies and governmental review agencies are some of Jason’s strengths. In Hubbard, Iowa, he developed a rehabilitation and repair plan for the city’s sewer system and used the plan to secure Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) grants for system-wide improvements.
