Jim Bishop

Director at MSA

Jim is an outside member of our board of directors, bringing four decades of management and leadership experience to MSA. Jim recently retired from H.W. Lochner, Inc., where he served as CEO and COO for the last 10 years. Lochner is an employee-owned firm that provides planning, environmental, design, construction engineering and inspection and right of way services for surface transportation, rail, transit and aviation clients across the United States. Prior to joining Lochner, Jim held positions of board director and executive vice president at PBS&J Inc., an engineering, architectural and planning services firm.

Jim now is founder and executive coach at JBC LLC, where he works with leaders to develop the skills necessary for building high performance cultures and effective, results-driven teams.

He received his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Valparaiso University and earned his Executive Coach Certification from the Concordia University Irvine Graduate School as well as certification in the Stakeholder Centered Coaching Process developed and practiced by Marshall Goldsmith.
