Andrew May

Andrew May has a diverse work experience in the engineering field. Andrew started their career as an Engineering Intern at Cook Vascular Inc. in 2011. Andrew then worked as an Engineering Intern at Plastics Services Network, where they designed custom prototype molds and fixtures for industry customers and tested the properties of polymers.

Andrew also gained teaching experience as a Teacher's Assistant at Penn State University, where they assisted students in operating machining equipment and reading mechanical drawings for injection mold inserts.

Later, they joined MSA - The Safety Company as a Manufacturing Engineer I and progressed to higher roles such as Manufacturing Engineer II and III. In these positions, they managed various projects, including software development, tooling replacements, and decorating technology implementation. Andrew collaborated with cross-functional teams and suppliers to ensure project goals were met.

Currently, Andrew works at MSA - The Safety Company as a Principal Manufacturing Engineer, where they lead new product development manufacturing and tooling efforts for different product lines. Andrew also works with industrial design and engineering teams to provide design for manufacturing (DFM) support and collaborates with suppliers to deliver high-quality products.

Andrew May completed their education at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College. Andrew obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Plastics Engineering Technologies from 2008 to 2012. Later, from 2017 to 2019, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA). Outside of their formal education, Andrew May obtained the RJG Master Molder I certification from RJG, Inc. in December 2022.
