Brian Woo

Brian Woo has extensive experience in embedded software engineering, currently serving as the Director of Engineering for Embedded Software at MSA - The Safety Company since July 2009. Prior roles at MSA include positions as Global Engineering Manager, Engineering Manager for Software Quality Engineers, and Lead Software Verification Engineer. Previously, Brian spent nearly a decade at Ericsson as a Senior Diagnostics Software Engineer, focusing on embedded C/C++ for software diagnostics on distributed processors, and as a Diagnostics Hardware Engineer, contributing to hardware design verification. Brian began the career as a Software Engineer at Carnegie Mellon University, developing educational software for curriculum engagement and also served as a Teaching Assistant for Digital Circuit Design. Brian holds a Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor’s degree in the same field from The Johns Hopkins University.
