Athanasios Floros

Athanasios Floros serves as the Deputy Chief Security Officer at MSC Cruises since July 2021, previously holding the role of Security Officer within the same organization. In addition, Athanasios has been a Contractor with M.S Security Group since September 2019 and served as Chief Security Officer at GNV Grandi Navi Veloci until June 2021. Prior experience includes a Security Officer position at MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company and an Armed Security Guard role at Sea Guardian Ltd. Athanasios's military experience includes serving as Platoon Sergeant in the Hellenic Army. Academically, Athanasios holds an Engineer's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Patras, and completed a specialized training course in Sea- Land Borders Security & Refugees, and Arms/Dual-Use Control from the Hellenic MPSOTC.
