Atef Allam is a Senior Scientist at MSC since May 2017, specializing in T cell immunotherapy, stem cells, Chimeric Antigen Receptor technology, and CRISPR/Cas9 methods. Prior experience includes a Scientist role at HJF from 2013 to May 2017, focusing on B and T immune responses to HIV in humanized mice and humans, with contributions to gut tissue immune cell harvesting and characterization of follicular helper T cells. Additionally, experience at Washington University School of Medicine involved studying NK cell responses in liver metastasis and the role of DNAM-1 in type 1 diabetes. A postdoctoral fellow position at NIH from 2005 to 2010 was dedicated to researching memory CD8+ T cell durability and developing a conditional knockout model for CD70. Atef Allam earned a Ph.D. in immunology from the School of Medicine at the University of Manitoba between 2001 and 2005.
