Jenny Benevento

Jenny Benevento is a Taxonomist and Metadata Strategist with over a decade of experience in e-commerce, focusing on two-sided user marketplaces with extensive catalogs of unique items. They are the owner of Bento Metadata & Content, providing consulting in taxonomy, ontology, and metadata strategy. Currently, Jenny serves as a Senior Taxonomist & Information Strategist at DoorDash, where they design structured data models for consumer goods. Previously, they held positions at Etsy, Sears Holdings Corporation, and the Associated Press, contributing to the creation and management of large-scale taxonomies. Jenny holds a BA in History from Reed College and a Master's in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
