Dimitris Melas

Dimitris Melas is the Managing Director and Global Head of Index Research and Product Development at MSCI, where they lead the organization responsible for researching and managing all MSCI indexes across asset classes. They also chair MSCI's Index Policy Committee and are a member of the Research Editorial Board. Prior to joining MSCI in 2006, Dimitris worked at HSBC Asset Management as Head of Research and Head of Quantitative Strategies from 1998 to 2006. They hold an MSc in Electrical Engineering from Aristoteleion Panepistimion Thessalonikis, an MBA in Finance from Cass Business School, and a PhD in Financial Mathematics from the London School of Economics, and have published research in peer-reviewed journals.
