Meggin Thwing Eastman

Meggin Thwing Eastman served as Managing Director and Head of Sustainable Finance and Regulatory Research at MSCI Inc. from July 1998 to March 2023, leading a global team focused on sustainable investment frameworks and regulatory research. Previously, Meggin held the position of Managing Director for ESG and Climate Research, where key thought leadership publications were directed and client impact initiatives were driven. Earlier roles included Executive Director of Global ESG Editorial and Director of ESG Research in EMEA, where an applied research team was built, and a comprehensive global ESG editorial strategy was developed. Meggin also contributed as Lead ESG Analyst at RiskMetrics Group and Senior Analyst at KLD Research & Analytics, specializing in corporate social responsibility in the technology and telecommunications sectors. Outside of MSCI, Meggin served as Development Director at East Bay Sanctuary Covenant, managing fundraising activities. Education includes an MA in Latin American Studies from the University of California, Berkeley, and a BA in Spanish and Asian Studies from Williams College.
