Emilia Costas Fernandez

Emilia Costas Fernandez has a diverse range of work experience. Emilia is currently working as an Associated Director of Engineering at MSD Switzerland. Prior to this, they worked at Lonza for several years in various roles. Emilia started as a Junior Project Manager and then became an Interim Manager of the MSAT Downstream team. Emilia also served as a Manager of MSAT Process Expert and Downstream Process Scientist, where they were responsible for coordinating technological transfers and scaling up purification processes. Before joining Lonza, Emilia worked as a Manufacturing Manager in the Automotive Industry at AMG, where they implemented LEAN systems and led a team of 15 people. In their early career, they worked as a Junior Project Manager at Grupo Precisgal, where they participated in the implementation of a project management philosophy.

Emilia Costas Fernandez's education history shows a diverse range of studies. From 2001 to 2005, they attended Escuela de Ingeniería Industrial (Universidade de Vigo) and obtained a degree in Industrial Chemical Engineering, specializing in Installation and Control of Processes. In 2005, they also studied Design Processes and CAD/CAM Mechanical Manufacturing at Universidade de Vigo.

In 2006, Emilia enrolled in C.E.A.G.A., where they pursued a program in Project and Key Client Management in the Automotive Sector. Furthermore, in 2009, they completed an Advanced Technical Course on Work Hazard Prevention at Método Consultores. In 2010, Emilia obtained a degree in Leadership Abilities from Método Consultores.

More recently, in 2017, Emilia undertook additional professional development through various courses. Emilia completed Process Validation, Qualification and Characterization training at Pharmaceutical Training International and attended a course on FDA RCA's Failure Investigation and CAPA system at FDA Regulatory Compliance Advisors, Inc.
