Michael Schmidt

Michael Schmidt currently serves as Finance Controller at MSD Österreich, managing a local finance team and overseeing various financial functions within Human Health and Animal Health sectors since May 2015. In addition to this role, Michael holds a position on the Supervisory Board of Intervet GesmbH and is set to become the Managing Director in Animal Health. Michael’s previous experience includes a role as Process Manager Finance and SAP FI Inhouse Consultant at Agrana, where significant contributions were made to global financial reporting and data governance. Prior to that, Michael worked at MSD in several capacities, including SAP Regional Business Process Lead and Finance Controller, where responsibilities spanned financial planning, customer service management, and local team leadership. Educational qualifications include a degree in Business Consulting from Fachhochschule Wiener Neustadt and a Diploma in Management from The Open University.
