Grant Johnston

Grant Johnston is a Principal on the Private Capital team. He joined MSD in 2021 from Searchlight Capital Partners, where he was a Principal and focused on private equity and structured investments in the technology, business services and payments sectors. Prior to that, he was an associate at Hellman & Friedman and worked as an investment banker at Morgan Stanley.

Grant received a B.A. in Economics from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was a Morehead-Cain Scholar.
