Ricardo Vilela is a Medical Information Specialist at MSD Portugal since May 2023, with previous experience as a Podcaster at PCR from April 2019 to September 2024, where three PhD students engaged with investigators to promote scientific discussions. Between October 2021 and May 2023, Ricardo worked as a Project Assistant at CIÊNCIA VIVA, and garnered extensive research experience during a PhD at ITQB-UNL from September 2014 to February 2023, focusing on cellular models and GFAP oligomerization. Ricardo has also held roles such as an Exchange Student at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies, where skills in protein aggregation and Electron Microscopy were developed. Additional research experience includes microinjection techniques learned at Universitat de Barcelona, and molecular cloning at Faculdade de Farmácia da Universidade de Lisboa and Universidade de Évora. Educationally, Ricardo earned a PhD in Neuroscience from ITQB NOVA, a Master’s in Neuroscience from Faculdade de Medicina Universidade de Lisboa, and a Licentiate in Biology from University of Évora.
