Frank Pietryga, P.E. is an experienced engineer with a robust background in power engineering and transmission protection. Currently serving as a Transmission Protection Engineer at FirstEnergy since January 2019, Frank specializes in setting up relays to safeguard transmission systems. Prior experience includes roles as a Consulting Engineer at Duquesne Light Company, where responsibilities involved protecting high-voltage transmission systems and contributing to microgrid technology development, and as a Principal Engineer at Bombardier Transportation, focusing on propulsion systems for transit vehicles. Frank has also acted as a Site Coordinator and Instructor for the Motorcycle Safety Foundation since 2007, providing training for motorcycle safety courses.
