Richard Bedford has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Richard began their career in the Royal Navy, serving as a Lieutenant and holding leadership roles in ship operations and mine warfare. After their time in the Navy, Richard worked as an Audit Manager at Coopers & Lybrand, where they managed clients in media, manufacturing, and property sectors. Richard then joined Balfour Beatty Plc as the Head of Internal Audit, before moving on to become the Finance Director for Project Management Services at Anglian Water Group. In this role, they restructured the internal audit department and took on additional responsibilities in risk management, insurance, and security. Richard then joined Kier Group as the Internal Audit Director, where they established a new risk-focused internal audit department for the construction company. Richard most recently worked at Msheireb Properties as the Head of Internal Audit, where they set up a new internal audit department for the Qatar-based real estate business, overseeing audits of construction projects and operations.
Richard Bedford attended Nantwich and Acton Grammar School from 1973 to 1980. Richard then went on to study at Britannia Royal Naval College from 1980 to 1982. No degree or field of study was specified for either educational institution.

With Msheireb Downtown Doha, the company is developing a blueprint for sustainable urban regeneration, and believes in sharing its knowledge and experience with the industry.
