Javier Amaran

Javier Amaran is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in commercial credit and risk management. Currently serving as a Commercial Credit Senior Portfolio Manager and Vice President at M&T Bank since June 2018, Javier oversees underwriting and the transition of new Commercial Real Estate loans. Previously, Javier worked at Capital One, managing credit exposure as a Commercial Underwriter and conducting counterparty credit risk analysis as a Senior Associate Analyst. Early career roles include Credit Analyst at Coconut Grove Bank and Financial Analyst at Banco Santander, along with internship experience at John Hancock Life Insurance Company. Javier holds a Master of Science in Finance from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Florida International University, supplemented by a Credit Analyst Certificate from Miami Dade College.
