Joseph Bielawa

Joseph Bielawa currently serves as Chief Regulatory Counsel at M&T Bank, a position held since May 2018. Prior to this role, Joseph has accumulated extensive experience in legal and regulatory positions, including Director/Senior Counsel Regulatory at Natixis, Senior Counsel at the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, and Senior Attorney at Freddie Mac. Joseph's earlier career highlights include serving as Vice President & Assistant General Counsel at both J.P. Morgan and Nat West, and as Senior Attorney at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. Joseph Bielawa earned a law degree from Duquesne University School of Law between 1983 and 1986.
