Philip Yu

Philip Yu is a seasoned financial professional with extensive experience in underwriting and portfolio management, currently serving as Senior Vice President in the Underwriting & Portfolio Management division of M&T Bank’s Financial Institutions Group since November 2022. Formerly, Philip held the role of Vice President and C&I Portfolio Underwriting Manager at EagleBank, overseeing a team and underwriting middle market companies. Previous positions include Senior Investment Associate at CapitalSource, Assistant Vice President at BayBank, and Credit Analyst at Sonabank, where expertise in commercial real estate and credit analysis was cultivated. Philip holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Science in Financial Management from the University of Maryland and the University of Maryland Global Campus, respectively.
