Bob McLaughlin is an experienced leader with a strong background in military and organizational management. Currently serving as Executive Director and COO of Mt. Carmel Veterans Service Center since October 2014, Bob has previously held significant roles in the US Army from June 1998 to October 2014, including Director of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation at the Installation Management Command, Chief of Staff for US Forces HQ in Afghanistan, and Garrison Commander. Notable achievements include commanding a field artillery battalion during the Surge operations in Operation Iraqi Freedom and developing strategies for peacekeeping operations in Bosnia-Herzegovina. Bob holds a Master's degree in Military Strategic Studies from the US Army War College and a Master's degree in Education from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Mt. Carmel Veterans Service Center provides career and transition assistance, behavioral health and wellness, supportive services, connection to community resources, and safe event space for veterans, military members and their families. The non-profit has proudly supported nearly 5,000 clients through more than 20,000 visits since 2016. Mt. Carmel was a dream of Mr. Jay Cimino and his strong desire to support our veteran community in meaningful ways. The Career and Transition team directly assists transitioning service members, veterans of all eras, and their family members in gaining meaningful employment, emphasized support for military spouses. The team collaborates with employers, military installations, and community partners to ensure success. The Colorado Governor recently extended state funding five years for the Veterans Service to Career program based on strong success of our pilot program. Our Behavioral Health and Wellness services include individual, group & couples therapy, no-cost therapeutic retreats, trauma-focused yoga, tai-chi & PTSD-focused support. Services are confidential and open to veterans of all era and regardless of discharge status. Supportive Services are a hand-up to members of the veteran community experiencing crisis. Working with national and community partners, the goal is to help people stabilize their lives allowing them to access other wellness and career services they may need. Mt. Carmel also provides a safe, multi-functional space to support groups and our partners. We collaborate with over 40 community partners to ensure success for our clients. Visit Mt.
