Eugene L. D. Mahmoud is an experienced educator and researcher with a diverse background in physics and engineering. Currently, Eugene serves as a Graduate Research Assistant and Explorers Fellow at the School of Engineering Education at Purdue University, focusing on readiness assessments in doctoral programs. Eugene has been a Professor of Physics and Engineering at Mt. San Antonio College since August 2015, where contributions include course design and student mentorship in STEM fields. Additional roles include serving as the Advanced Technical Education Principal Investigator for a National Science Foundation project aimed at enhancing engineering curriculum development and employment pathways. Eugene has also held instructional positions at Johns Hopkins University and Pasadena Unified School District, among others. Academic qualifications include an Engineer's Degree and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Caltech, and a Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering from UC San Diego.
