Dr. Hallie Richardson, Jr. is an experienced educator and pastor currently serving as an Adjunct Professor at Essex County Community College since September 2022 and as Senior Pastor at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church since January 2022. Previously, Dr. Richardson worked as a Family Service Specialist for the Newport News Department of Human Services from September 2017 to February 2022, and held pastoral roles at Little Zion Baptist Church and Jerusalem Baptist Church from 2005 to 2022. Earlier experience includes serving as an Independent Living/Foster Parent Recruiter Trainer for the Isle of Wight Department of Social Services. Dr. Richardson holds a Doctor of Ministry in Executive Leadership from New York Theological Seminary and multiple degrees, including a Master of Divinity and a Master of Christian Education from Virginia Union University, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management.
