Karen Matthews

Karen Matthews is an experienced finance professional with extensive expertise in treasurer roles. Currently serving as the Church Treasurer at Mt. Zion Baptist Church since July 2019, responsibilities include managing receipting, accounts payable, payroll, and financial reporting. As the Treasurer for the Missouri County Treasurer's Association since September 2012, Karen oversees receipting and accounts payable for the association. In the role of Christian County Treasurer since January 2003, responsibilities extend to maintaining custody of all county revenues and contributing to leadership for Missouri's 114 counties as the association treasurer. Previous experience includes co-ownership at M and M Wallpapering and as a bookkeeper at Ozark Building Supply. Karen's education was completed at Ozark High School, graduating in 1975.
