Monica Nehemia

Monica Nehemia has extensive work experience in the field of technology and information. Monica is currently serving as the Chief Technology and Information Officer at MTC Namibia since August 2020. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Technical Support and Network Services at the Office of the Prime Minister from August 2018 to August 2020. Monica also held the position of Deputy Director of IT at the Ministry of Energy and Mines from July 2013 to July 2018. Additionally, Monica worked as a Manager of Customised Solutions at Telecom Namibia from December 2011 to June 2013, and as an ICT Consultant from March 2008 to February 2010, also at Telecom Namibia.

Monica Nehemia holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Informatics from Cape Peninsula University of Technology, which was obtained between 2020 and 2023. Prior to that, they completed their Master's degree in Informatics at Namibia University of Science and Technology from 2015 to 2018. Monica also has a Bachelor's Honor degree in Management Information Systems from Polytechnic of Namibia that they obtained in 2014-2015. Additionally, they hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration and Management from University of Namibia achieved in 2013-2014. Monica's educational background also includes a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology with specialization in Networking and System Administration from Polytechnic of Namibia, though the exact time frame for this degree is not provided.
