John Welt

John Welt has extensive work experience in various roles in the field of IT and networking. John started their career in 1989 as an Enterprise Network Technician and Operations Manager at ABN AMRO Bank N.V. In 1994, they joined Arthur Andersen & Co. as a Networking and Platform Engineer/Analyst.

In 1998, John joined McDermott Will & Emery LLP as a Senior Network Analyst/Architect Office Information Systems Manager. John managed a team of 15 Office IT Operations staff and was responsible for daily troubleshooting and support of 2,000 users. John also served as the Lead Engineer for a complete end-user software upgrade project during a period of large expansion.

In 2003, John joined Vector ESP as a Managing Consultant, Systems Consultant, and Remote Support Engineer. John provided remote troubleshooting, implementation planning, and technical support to Fortune 200 and mid-sized clients. John also served as the technical lead for an on-site engagement team at a large corporate client with multiple international data center deployments.

Since 2005, John has been working at MTM as a Managing Consultant, Senior Escalation Engineer, and Lead Engineer. John has performed various server, infrastructure, and software implementations for small, mid-sized, and large contract clients. Their projects have included core infrastructure networking, Microsoft AD domain builds, application installs, and secure access methods. John has also served as the lead technical support engineer for managed services to Fortune 500, 200, and mid-size clients.

John Welt attended Elmhurst University from 1990 to 1991, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management, with a focus on General Studies. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Cybersecurity at Work from LinkedIn in May 2021 and Citrix Certified Professional-Networking and Citrix Certified Professional-Virtualization from Citrix, with the latter two certifications being obtained in 2014.
