Johannes Bussmann

Johannes Bussmann is a seasoned executive in the aerospace industry, currently serving as a Member of the Executive Board at MTU Aero Engines AG since July 2025. Prior to this role, Johannes held the position of Chairman of the Board of Management at TÜV SÜD AG from January 2023 to July 2025. With a substantial tenure at Lufthansa Technik from October 1999 to December 2022, Johannes progressed through various leadership roles, including Chief Executive Officer and multiple senior vice president positions focused on engine and aircraft component services. Earlier in their career, Johannes worked as a Product Engineer for Turbines at ABB from January 1998 to September 1999. Academically, Johannes holds both a Dr.-Ing. and a Diploma in Aerospace Engineering from RWTH Aachen University.
